The Great Alignment Debate

Chaotic Neutral

Chaotic Neutral people love freedom, and everything it entails. They have no concern for Good or Evil, just so long as they can do as they please. Chaotic Neutral people don’t stay in one place for too long, often traveling the countryside and meeting new people, occasionally returning to a favored few for a short period.

Some have thought that Chaotic Neutral People must be mad; how else could someone constantly change the direction in life and not be slightly unhinged? This is mere Law propaganda. Chaotic Neutral people choose to sail the currents of fate, allowing life to take them wherever it goes.

If a Chaotic Neutral person joins an adventuring party, it is because it seems like a good idea at the time. Whether they stay with the party is another matter. As long as the party sails the same currents of fate as the party, all will be well, but if those interests, aims, and ideas part, so will the Chaotic Neutral person. They don’t take orders well, but will follow them if it suits them at the time.

The most common example of Chaotic Neutral creatures are Felines of any sort.

The basic rules of Chaotic Neutral are:

1) The only constant in life is change.

2) The rights of the individual trump the rights of society.

3) The heart rules the mind.

4) Good and Evil must be balanced to maintain the universal order.

5) Only worry about “Me and Mine”
