an antelope found most often on the open plains and steppes, and less often in the forests and foothills. the frequency of rare reflects the sagias amazing
swiftness and ability to absent themselves from the presence of unwanted observers, rather than lack of numbers. this reticence should not be taken as
timidity but as a mark of their intelligence, a faculty nurtured by the careful and un intrusive husbandry of the plains halflings.

if pursued too ardently or unable to flee, the sagia will defend themselves fearlessly. however the truly dangerous sagia are those trained for war. with agility, speed, and intelligence un equaled by any horse, when combined with the skills of their
dimunitive riders the result is fearsome indeed. these attributes and the capcitey of reaching a land speed of 60 mph have given rise to many rumors, some of an almost legendary aspect. ranging from the sagia being raised on and fed a grain meal mixed with the blood of the halflings enemies to increase their ferocity in combat to their being spirits summond by halfling shammans and clothed in flesh, ( dms please have fun making up your own, the more the merrier!) the majority of these rumors are idel speculation at best and utter hogwash at worst. the only thing known for certain is that the halfling will not a sagia at any price, under any circumstance.

description medium sized, approx 4 or 5 feet at shoulder, with tan or light gray fur and muzzles and markings of dark grey or dark brown. males have gnurled horns of 2 & a half feet in length. deceptively delicate in appearance like their riders they are in fact quite robust.
